Default Extracting Blower Motor

89 240 Wagon. Blower motor has loud BUZZ when on (any speed). In the process of taking it out, I suspect bad motor bearings (?). How much dissassembly is needed? Manual says to remove heater core and vents. Really? If I need to, I'll do it. Any advice would be great! Thanks!! Dave

Unfortunately that is the only way as the fan sits on top of the heater matrix. Fortunately, it is not a 1981 model - this requires removal of the complete dash.
