failed smog
ok guys,
I failed smog today. it passed the emissions test barely (high nox at idle, 3 more points and it would have failed), but failed the fuel tank pressure test. The guy at the station said it was the fuel filler nipple or what ever it is called. It's the part you stick the gas nozzle into. Apparently it has a slight bend in it that lets the vapors get by the fuel cap.
Does anyone know the part number? The Vovlo dealer is closed today and tommorrow. Also how easy is it to replace this part? It looks like i could pull the wheel well cover off and go in from the side to replace the part.

That is the same thing that failed me.....
The smog shops pressure cap wouldn't seall around my filler tube.....
Get some channel locks and round out the filler tube. it is a free fix. just do slight gentle squeezes and it will round out.
Run the car for a good 30 minutes to warm the cat up.....it will burn cleaner.
