91 740 t here. I have a switch for fog lights and when i flip the switch, it lights up as if my fog lights are on. The only thing is, i dont have fog lights on my car. Was this normal for a car to come with the switch and not the actual lights? I dont see any mounting holes or anyhitng to show that the fog light may have been there once.

 

i have an 88 740...if its the same switch we are talking about, its not for the fog lights. its rear "fog" lights...it makes your brake lights brighter for bad weather.

 

Oh, really. Ill have to check it out. The switch im talking \about is located to the left of the steering wheel and has a little half circle with wavey lines through it. Thanks

 

Sorry TedH - from one whose country has made rear fog lights compulsory - the brake lights do not get brighter, the rear fog lights are separate.

 

If you were supposed to have front Fog lights then you will have 2 half circles in the same switch. One green and one orange.

I have a 1992 745Ti and it does not have fog lights beside the headlights. Has anyone ever seen a 92 745 with factory fogs under the bumper?

I can not find any pics of one.

I want to put Bosch fogs under the bumper.

The last of the 740's had the Foglights next the the Headlights.

 

This is not my car but this is what I did with mine.

I found it easier to remove the spoiler as I cut recesses to take the backs of the lamps. I then made surrounds for the lamps to hide any untidy finish.
