Default Front Wiper Linkage

Hi everyone.
After several months of happy ownership of my '82 244 GL and fixing several small problems i have come across yet another one that puzzles me. yesterday my wipers made a clunking noise and quit working. the mototr can still be heard spinning when the switch is enganed but the wipers just hang loose on the windshield. i am sure it is something in the linkage that has come off but my problem is that i dont know/ cant find any info on the damn thing. I looked on a few good internet sites i know and one of them had instructions on how to remove/install the linkage but there were no pictures. so my main problem is that i dont know how it is supposed to go together. is there a way to easily fix it without having to take the whole dash off to gain access? does anyone have a link where i can see a picture of how it all fits together?
Thanks in advance.

The instructions I have do not need the dash removed.
1. Disconnect battery earth (ground) lead and remove wiper arms.
2. Remove the panel under the dash.
3. Remove the demister hoses.
4. Disconnect the wiper motor leads. Undo and remove the securing screws and linkage.

Hope this picture, basic, is of some help.
