regina 740 91, Have problem of car running for a couple of minutes then dying. Apon advice on this forum I tried using ether and can keep her running. Relay (pump) is clicking whenkey is turned on and when car dies, not hot to the touch. When first starting can hold accelerator at 1500 rpm and it is steady for 2 min. the surges between 600 and 1500 then dies, when it is run uo to 2000 it starts dying instantly. Fuel filter? Pump? Will try to install pressure gauge in the line when I can get the fittings. All suggestions and advice is welcome.

 

Mine did something very similar to that. I just took off the fuel pump and cleaned it out good with some carb cleaner, a bunch of crap came out and replaced the fuel filter. That fixed it for me.

 

Sounds like pump and/or filter.
I did both, they're cheap enough.
