Fuel Pump Relay Question!?!?
Hello again,
ok so on the 82 242 turbo ive got, what color is the "trigger" wire on the fuel pump relay? by that i mean, i need to trigger it with the ignition but i dont know what wire to jump to...any ideas? thanks
There's a 2 plug connector going to your ECU underneath the driver's console. Just look up from the floor. I think the wires are grey with a red stripe. Unplug the connector and ground one of the connectors. Not on the ECU side but on the harness side. I can't remember exactly what wire does it, but you don't have to have the ignition on. In fact, it's a good idea to leave the key out of the ignition when you're doing this.
But to answer the question, I'm sure the trigger wires are gray with a red stripe.

got it!! its the white and red striped wire coming out of the relay, i just got down and dirty and tested all the leads and found thats the one haha thanks for the info though
No problem... Yeah white and red lol.
Well I can't be perfect, but I'm glad I helped at least a little
Like I said you should be able to ground one of them with the car off and your fuel pump should kick on. Not on the ecu side, on the harness side.
