Default fuses keep blowing...associated with shiftlock?

Hi all,

I have a 93 240 that my 7th fuse (shiftlock and apparently ALL lights) continues to blow on. The first time that the fuse blew was about a month and a half ago. Replaced the fuse-everything seemed fine. About a week later, my gear shifter would not shift out of park, but the fuse did not blow. I noticed the shifter was wobbly, and I now have to make sure that a little pin is in the white plastic bushing before the car will crank and/or shift into gear.

3 days ago the #7 fuse blew again, rendering me without lights, so I replaced it. It blew again this morning. Has this ever happened to any of you, and if so, can you tell me what is going on? Thanks.

Take a look at the neutral safety switch. Here is a photo writeup by Art Benstein:

You'll probably want to remove the shifter cover and look for shorts.
