Is the gearbox part of the transmission? Lets say i need to change the gearbox, would i need to change the transmission? or if i change the transmission do i need to change the gearbox, or is it all together?


Because my other car(Audi A6 2003) is having problems,with the tranny and the gearbox

 

The Transmisison is the Gear box.

But that is usually refered to a Manual transmission.
