hey,

i have several problems w/ my '92 240. when I 1st start itup in the morning and try to put in into gear and it stalls out. however, if i wait for ~15min for it to warm up, then theres no problem w/ engine stalling out.

Try cleaning the throttle body and idle motor first and see what happens.

 

i recently had a major tune up. also, the thottle body and the idler motor was clean but the problem still appear.

 

Might be a bad coolant temp sensor then.

 

that sound possible,since it only happens in mornings when cold,ctp should tell computer to enrich the mixture ..

Hi! Please help me. I`m having a big problem with my volvo, is a 240 DL`98, sedan, Like a month ago I was drivingand suddenly the car started to stall and I had poor acceleration. First tought was that iI needed tune up, which I made the day after, I changed all I could to have a good result:
All failed, still got stalling engine,lack of performance totally bad. The most i can get is 30 35 mph. It seems like the exhaust system is clogged.
Even i replaced the catalyzer, I don`t know what else I can do. Please for sure somebody must had the same problem. Help! Thankyou.

 

Did you replace the Fuel filter?
Do you hear Both fuel pums running?
