Headlight Problem
Hi Guys,
I have dipped headlight problem hope someone can give me some help on. When I turn on the main dash board switch light to get dipped beam i.e. right over to the right, I get no headlights and dash lights go out.If I put the switch in the central position, I still get no headlights, but get dash lights. If I put the switch on its first postion, still get no headlights and dashlights. I am getting wing side lights with switch on in all 3 switch positions, but no headlights at all. Also, I get main bean on the stork swiitch, but that will not stay on.I have to hold the stork switch to maintain main beam.I have checked the light switch and it seems to be operating ok. Is there a relay which controls the lights located anywhere that may be causing the problem?
Thanks in anticipation.

Its ok guys sorted this problem out.It was due to putting in a new radio....the yellow and white stripped wires behind the radio needed to be joined together to complete a circuit for the headlights to work. Be worth remembering if anyone in the future has the same problem when installing a new radio/stereo system.
I am getting a message 'bulb failure dipped beam' I have replaced the bulbs but that did not correct the issue. I am thinking it may be the turn signal switch but I hate to buy one then still find it doesn't fix the problem. Any ideas?
Hi Tech,
I read an earlier post about a relay for dipped lights problem. You said you would walk then through it. Can you refer me to that thread. I am experiencing the same problems.
thanks,
Blanco
