Default Low Beam Headlight problem

Hi there,

I'm having a problem replacing my lowbeam bulb on my 2001 S60. The problem is that I can't pull the old bulb out of its socket. Is there a trick to pulling this bulb out from the brown plug ?

Thanks

I'm not sure about these cars but usually you just push the bulb in and turn it until it pops out.

Did you unhook the latch that holds the bulb in?

Thats how the high beam bulb works, it came out easy.

Also, yes, I unhooked the wire latch that holds the bulb in. The problem is specifically pulling the bulb out of the brown socket plug thing. It just wont come out when I pull. Its looks like it should just come out like you are unplugging any electrical device, as the lightbulb has 2 flat prongs that go into the brown socket.

Yes they should unplug. But seems almost like a little kid designed the connectors for the light.
Actually there is little tabs that lock the connector to the bulb. But you can't see them because they are under the brown plastic.
Usually if you pull pretty hard it will just unplug.
