headlight problem need help plz
Hi I have a 1982 242dl and on my passenger side both my lights work but on my driver side I have no lights even though I know the bulb works. could that be a relay if so where would that be? any help in this matter would be much appreciated thanks!!
that 1982, does it have the round double lamps, or rectangular double lamps, or were the big rectangular plastic lights ?
if both lights are out on the same side, I'd be inclined to suspect the ground wire first, this is attached to the inside of the fender just behind the headlight assembly.
the high beams are both tied together at the hi/low 'step' relay near the left headlamp, and the low beams are also from that relay, but wired through the bulb failure sensor, so if both highs and lows are out on the same side, its likely the ground as that is the only part of the circuit thats unique to the side.
