Default Hello, Just bought a 240 Wagon

Any infor for me, guys? I just bought the car, about 140k on it, dunno very much about it's history. Oil lights flickering on and off, I have to get an oil pressure gauge to make sure it's not just the senso, cause I believe the sensor or the wiring is messed up. The oil pressure gauge is topped out, and the temp gauge bounces wherever it wants to, so, I think it's just a wiring problem. Anywho, do you guys have any idvice for me with this new car? Thanks.

Look at the fire wall under the hood in about the middle. There should be a grey plug with either 6 or 8 wires in it check those wires and see if the outside sheilding came off.If it did tape the wires and see if it gets any better.Your oil pressure sensor is on the passenger side of the block. It has 1 wire that goes to it.

Tech, you were 100% corect about the wires, it looks like somebody made a half-assed attempt at repairing them before, but, I'll tape em up good. And, the green wire came out of the back of the oil pressure gauge, I believe thast the signal wire to the gauge, so, I think it should work as soon as I put the battery back in off the charger. Any other tips for me, tech?

As long as you got them taped up good you should be fine.Just keep an eye on the wires if you still have problems you may have to replace the harness.

I am now having another problem, It will not start, lol. I have no spark, and I believ the probelm is the coil primary wires, there is no insulation left on them, lol. Is there anything else thast normally a problem that would cause a no spark condition?, Do these have crank sensors, or anythign I should be checking out?

Check on the top of the transmission where it meets the engine. If you have a wire coming out of there that is the speed sensor.f the outside sheilding is missing or cracked that might be your problem.
