help with 740gl pricing
I have a 1990 Volvo 740 gl in black that I'm looking to sell just looking for some help on pricing it out. It has 150000 miles on it, leather seats, sun roof, and minor rust spots. I just replaced the fuel pump, the distributor, relay switches for the fuel pump and back brakes. any help would be helpful. thanks

Will depend a lot on where you are. California Oregon and Washington were always the strong market for 'em when new...resale there is generally a bit higher. To get an idea what they sell for in your neck of the woods, check Craigs List and eBay as well as local classifieds. A lot depends on cosmetics. $1,000 is a ball park figure...might get as much as $1,500 or as little as $500. I bought a 90 740GL in good running condition with 125,000 miles and zero rust in 2006 for $250. It's all in the timing and your locale. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum.
Any pics? The eyes determine the price for some. Though seeing this is not a car most would look at and want no matter what was wrong with it, a maintenance history helps. What do the leather seats look like, Crock skin? Where are those rust spots, on the hood, or in the wheel well? What you replaced was good, not really stuff that would increase the value much.
Is it an Estate or a Saloon? Estates are generally more desirable (at least for the 240's) List it for $1,700 and expect some offers. Again, pictures would help.
