Default I need help with pricing.

I recently purchased a 2000 Volvo S80 T6 with 175,000 miles on it. Shortly after buying the car I started having tranny problem, big shocker I know. I love the car but just don't have the money to fix it. The car still drives fine in semi-auto if its kept under 4th gear. I've decided to sell the car but I'm not to sure how much I should ask for. If someone who knows more about the car could give me a good asking price i'd appreciate it. If I could keep the car I would.

First off all I am not an expert.

Unfortunately T6 has a “week” transmission; it’s a well known issue.
I think if it`s runs good, no issues, and the car is in good condition it worth maybe around $4k.

If you have an estimate for the fix, you have to simply deduct from that price, if you don`t have, go and get a few.

For example mine is S80, 2000 (not a T6) had a failed power steering rack, dealership estimated $2200, local shop $1300, owner was motivated to sell, advertised for $2400, bought for $2000 cash.

If it’s something major like engine, transmission I would say not more than $2000 probably even less if you want to get rid of if fast.
I have seen S80`s like these for parts or repair even around for $1000-1500.

(sry for my bad english)
