Help Identifying/Finding Trim Clip for '93 240 Wagon
Hi All,
Recently, I started in on a project to rehab the black/chrome beltline trim on my '93 240 wagon. Knowing the clips would likely not survive removal, I purchased a bag of Volvo 1372059 clips (which are what all of the parts sites and dealerships say is correct). Lo and behold, when I pulled the driver door trim off, the clips are completely different and I haven't been able to track down a part number for the correct ones or where to find them. I've attached a few pictures of what the clips looks like as well as a stock photo from FCP of what the 1372059 looks like.
Any help in identifying replacements would be much appreciated! It's not the first time that parts haven't quite matched the catalog - perhaps being one of the last ones made has something to do with it?
Thanks in advance.
Joel

That is the correct replacement part. I have install hundreds. Use a cutoff wheel to cut the old clip in half to be able to get it out - then install the new clip in the slot and turn it 1/4 turn. The rubber ends of your trim are permanently attached so there is no way to slide the original clip in without damaging the piece of trim. I do realize you have a piece of trim in your hand with the end removed - but that's not the way to replace the clips -
