Default Removing old trim clips and installing new?

I’ve searched everywhere for videos or posts on this and haven’t found anything. How do I remove the old clips and install the new ones?

one end or the other of the trim piece should have a block that when removed will let you slide the old clips out and new clips in.

Thanks for your quick response! The ends appear to be fused on. I can’t get anything to come off or pop out of the channel.

is there a place on the channel where one of the metal 'rails' is trimmed back for about the width of one of the clips slider backs ?

There isn’t. I’m thinking I should take some metal snips and try to do that.

I’m at a Volvo dealer parts counter. Looking at the new retainer clips. They’re different from the original ones. They slide into the channel and get rotated 1/4 turn. I probably just need to chip out the old ones and I’ll be good!

Thanks!
