Help Lighting issue
When i step on the brake the dash lights come on as well as the front running lights and the bulb out indicator comes on when any lights are on all bulbs are good . Suggestions appreciated
You may have a bad ground at one of the taillamps or bulb sockets - the current is back feeding through the parking light bulb circuit. Does your car have a 1157 dual filament bulb in a brake light bulb spot with two terminals in the bulb holder? That bulb should do both park and brake light. (240 sedan lower outer lens has a dual filament socket/bulb)
Dash lights and one side parking bulbs are on one fuse and tag lights and other side parking are on the other.
Pull the bottom two fuses one by one to see which one stops the dash lights from coming on with the brake lights - and you will have figured out what side bulb holder/ground to check.

1157 came in the car, 2357 is a slightly brighter brake light filament. If using those left and right will need to be the same bulb to keep the bulb out light off. The bulb out light works by comparing the current used by the 2 outer brake lights, the 4 rear parking lights and the 2 low beam filament. It does not care about any other bulbs. The left and right rear parking lights (2 bulbs each), left and right brake light bulbs, center brake light bulb (compared to a fixed resistance) , and the low beams have to all work using the same current respectively for the bulb failure light to stay off.
