Help taking out Instrument Panel on 1994 940 Wagon
Hi my name is Mike and I own a 1994 Volvo 940 Wagon (Non-turbo). does anyone have some knowledge of removing the instrument panel to replace one of the bulbs ( or determine the cause for no instrument lights). Fuses have been checked. I need pictures or a exploded view detail of the process please. The Service manual is no help at all. Thanks everyone for all your help. Fingers crossed .... Michael

Right, but: those springy tabs holding the bezel can be a PIA to get to compress right sometimes--they just don't let go! I use a small flat head to compress them while I use a small hook to pull on the bezel from the same hole at the same time. Then, I take the tabs out to get the panel out more easily. Non turbo is easier as it has no turbo gauge vacuum line which can be hard to get off behind the cluster.
The speedo guard white plastic piece will probably break upon removal but that's no big worry... Not really needed.

I literally just struggled with this. Make sure its a very small screw driver orientated up/down, pushed toward back through little holes at about 2 oclock, you should easily feel the spring action. I used a wine bottle opener to gently pry towards me as i pushed that. It was very easy once one side popped out
