Remove small clock to right of instrument cluster
1984 244 GL, with a tachometer, spedometer, and battery/fuel guage clusters.
How do I remove the small clock to the right of the instrument cluster?
I.e., do I need to remove the instrument cluster to access the rear of the small clock, or can I pop the black plastic bezel in front of the small clock and simply remove screws to remove?
It's my neighbor's car and I don't want to mess it up. : o \
Thank you

you have to get at it from behind. 2 finger nuts on the back of the clock secure a bracket that clamps it against the dash panel. you /might/ be able to reach up from behind/under the dashboard, but ugh, be much easier with the instrument panel out. when you take the trim bezel off the clock, and the blank panel under it, and the ones near the light switch, the screws that hold the 86+ instrument panel are exposed. I assume the older ones are similar?
at least thats how an 87+ is, I've never taken a 84 apart.
