Hesitation on acceleration 940 GL
1992 940 GL
1. on acceleration from dead stop, vehicle hesitates and rpm fluctuate between 1500-1800 rpm range. Feels as if you are pushing down and letting off gas pedal
Car has slight bucking until it can reach 2000 rpm. Lasts about 20-30 secs.
2. Once over 2000 rpm range no further problem
New fuel filter
fuel pump primes
new quality wires
cleaned master air flow indicator

If you don't have 'tune up' issues, meaning the car is in good running order ignition wise, what you probably have is a failing fuel pump...Try and measure the fuel pressure at the rail when this symptom is present (I know, easier said than done!).
