You are talking about the crank pulley correct?

Did the lower pulley fall all the way off?

Did he tighten the bolt?

Is there still a peice on there?

You need to inspect it good. I have a feeling the timing belt jumped as well. There is a slot on the back of the crank pulley that locks onto the lower timing pulley. He might have sheered it off. So you might have to replace that as well.

If the belt broke no big deal install a new one and you will be good to go.
