How do I adjust the idle on a 1993 240?
#2
According to my Haynes manual:
1. Engine at operating temp
2. ground the blue/white test lead near the battery, NOT the red wire, this will damage the O2 sensor. Turn off all lights and accessories.
3. Turn idle bypass screw (or ****) to adjust idle speed to recommended idle speed shown on underhood sticker. Idle speed screw is under the intake hose at the drivers side of the throttle body.
4. Remove jumper from blue/white test lead. Idle should increase slightly. If not you may have problems with the air control valve or it's circuit.
