The blockage is in the engine block and not the hose.

EDIT: I have a very early 240 with a B20F instead of the B21 or B23.

i would start with air, see if you can blow it out, or use some carb. cleaner and get it out that way...if you do use a solvent, after you get it out do an oil change so that extra gunk and solvant doesnt stay in your oil.
