I have owned a 1986 Volvo 245 for most of its life . I am currently having a “will crank but no start /no spark issue. “ What do you advise and how many start computers are on this model? I am aware of the ICU. If that is not the problem what maybe the next likely issue?

1. If you bump the starter, do you hear the fuel pump (under the drivers side of the car heard easiest with the door open and the door light switch pushed so the chime says off) come on for 1.5 seconds? If yes then -
2. If you hold the coil wire (that was in the center of the distributor cap) 3/16 of an inch away from on one of the shock tower nuts - is there a spark when (someone else) spins the engine over?
