Default How rare is a black 240 86-93?

I've been looking for a black driver side fender for about four to six months. I'm on the watch at the local wrecking yards but finding that black 240's are not that common. Lots of white sedan, grey/silver, blue and other but finding black is challenging. I have opened by search to 250 miles but still nothing other than one local. The one fender that I have found has two small dents in the wheel trim. Wondering if I should pull it for just keep waiting. I'm not interested in spending the money to match up the black paint as really the entire car needs to be painted.

Question - are the black 240's uncommon or rare or are they just going to the wrecking yards?

Are there production volume by color? I'm sure white is #1.

There's one here at Lambert's near Manchester, NH but the car is kinda whipped and I expect the fender is marginal. I'd pull a good local fender and rattle-can it. After a few months w/o washing nobody will notice...

Ha. Good one. Yeah I've thought about that but likely the fender that I have hammered out looks better than a mismatch paint.

Let me ask this - what is a good national database wrecking yard search engine that people can recommend to help my search? I wouldn't mind a 2 or 3 hour drive but likely the shipping would be costly.

Black is common! Try finding a red one! Even if you find one, it may not match because the car could have been stored in a different environment, or might have even been repainted

True about red as I have spotted them for sale but never at the wrecking yards.
