this is how i did the 91 745 (should be the same as the 900)
the alternator should have two bolts holding it to the mount to the block and one bolt which tightens the blet.
disconnect the negative on the battery.
You will need to loosen the belt one so you can slide the belt off, then you can disconnect the wires for the alternator (should be a power and a ground).
Now you can undo the two bolts that mount the alternator to the mountung block, and remove the alternator.

in the pic...you can see the three bolts. the top left bolt is the adjuster, and the other two are the mounting bolts.

Should be fairly strat forward.
