Wrong section

This cars in nice shape but, given how flaky '86 models can be at times I personally wouldn't pay $4k for it. The condition of the interior is admirable, no cracks, and the speakers havent been screwed with.

Wheres the cigarette lighter? Does it still have its plastic tray underneath? How new are the tires? I assume that all of the lights function correctly? Was the wiring harness ever replaced?

Hello 92 sedan

All the lights do work and this car has been garaged it's whole life. The cigarette lighter is there, the plastic tray is missing. It's a solid car and I paid 4k for it and started replacing all parts that are known to go out or need servicing. I'm will to take offers here before I put it on E bay. It's a prime example of a 240. The tires have 95% tread on them but are starting to show some dryness to them. If you look at this car underneath it is like new. Very clean.

Hello IEV,
I thought I would post the car on here before I tried E bay! I don't have an account on there so I'm not set up for resale. Do you think since I'm a first time user that me being a new e bayer would hurt the sale? Or should I go with someone who's already established?
I'm open to offers and can deliver for a ticket home and expenses.

Please call me if someone is seriouse.

What was the fix to the "car dies when put in gear" issue?

Dytha I thought it may be a bad ECT sensor or o2 sensor but it turns out that it actually is the wire harness as some of the members suggested. It was not relevant until I peeled the heat shrink back. Ther were crumbled wires. So today I ordered both ignition and engine wire harness. It cost me 605.00 but the car is worth it and if someone buys it I want it to be right! If not I'll keep it.

I think you should keep it, have it as back-up in-case something goes on with the Subaru, you've already thrown quite a bit of money into it.

Crumbling wires is common for '86

I is my dream car with such classy styling. The problem is my family and I are planning on becoming missionaries so we most likely won't need it for long term and we need to clear some debt in order to serve. Thanks for the kind words though.
