Default Installing 240 Fan Shroud

A long time ago I replaced my radiator and water pump seals. At the time, my engine mounts were kinda shot so the engine didn't sit properly, and the fan shroud would scrape against the fan, so I just took the shroud off when I buttoned everything up.

Later on I had to have the mounts fixed so I could change the oil. I still haven't put the shroud back on, but I assume with the engine mounted firmly in place the shroud should attach to the radiator and not scrape the fan.

I know it runs a bit warmer without the shroud and I'm driving up to Tahoe this weekend, so I want to put it back on. Can it be done without removing the radiator?

A mechanic told me you can take the fan off via the 10mm bolts and put the shroud on and maneuver it back and forth allowing you to re-attach the fan bolts. Is this true?

Thank you!!

Yup! Just take the 4 bolts off the fan pulley, and the rest is cake.
