Default Instrument panel removal and odometer

Hey guys. I have a problem and was wondering if anyone can help. Here is the issue. Temperature guage was not reading correctly (it was all over the place) and after a new thermostat and sending unit I replaced the temp. compensation board in the instrument panel. Fixed that problem, but when I took the instrument panel out a wire came disconnected and I believe it was the speedo wire, as the speedo and the odometer stopped working. I reconnected the wire to the only logical spot and now the speedo works but not the odometer. Before I took the instrument panel out everything was working fine except for the temp guage. Strange thing is the speedo wire is connected by a spade terminal to the back of the instrument cluster, and there are two terminals next to each other. I put the female spade end on the one that had wear marks. Is it possible that I got it on the wrong one? Or do you think the odometer is crapped out, and I need to replace somethingelse? Also, on the bottom right face of the instrument panel, this is the from the passenger compartment, there is some sort of reset button that is attached to the speedo. Is this some sort of reset that might get my odometer working again? thanks for any help. The car is s a 1992 240 sedan. 5 spd. thanks, Nick.

Default RE: Instrument panel removal and odometer

i am not sure why the odometer isnt working. i will check and try to get back to you on that. as for the reset button, i am pretty sure that the button resets the service light on the far left side of the cluster.
