My daily driver is a 1978 242dl. For the most part it runs great but recently it has begun to feel a bit lurchy. There is a low, oscillating moaning noise that sometimes is audible when the lurching is especially bad. my mechanic diagnosed this as a faulty in tank pump. I replaced the pump myself, and it has gotten better, but the juddering is still there. before i replaced the pump the car was at times hardly drivable, but still it is there and quite irritating. It seems to be worse when going uphill or when the tank is less then half full. any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

 

thats a K-Jet car, right? they are pretty picky with respect to fuel pressure, should probably be checked.
