Just bought a 84 242 Turbo and need help with fuel system
I just bought a 1984 Volvo 240 Turbo with the B21FT motor and we cannot get it to fire up. It cranks over and it has spark, but the fuel system looks to be shot.
We pulled the gas tank out and found that the tank is full of rust. So we took the in-tank fuel pump out and put direct 12 volts on it and nothing happened. We then took the in-line fuel pump out from under the car and put direct 12 volts to that and nothing on that one too. While under the car we checked for voltage on the line feeding the pump under the car and no voltage. So then we checked the fuel relay behind the dash and checked the leeds while still plugged in and it has 12 volts going in and 1.5ish volts going out.
Is it possible that the line going out to feed the first pump is bad and needs replaced as well as both pumps and filters need replaced too? Thanks ahead of time!
P.S. This is going to be Project Drift......
