Boy what a nice driving car this thing is! After driving my squirrely BMW this thing is so relaxing. Interior exterior are nearly mint, 164K miles, bought from original (mild mannered) owner. Problems are a dead speedo, needs struts badly, and my seat back tilt switch is inop, oh and my ABS light comes on once in a while too. Will get to picking away at these issues but this is the second VV Ive had, first one was a cherry 77 240 Wagon and this thing already seems like an old friend. I pretty much know where to start on the speedo, I hope the switch is just bad contacts (seatback is stuck in a slightly forward and uncomfy position), the struts are a no brainer but haven't a clue on the ABS light. Any ideas? Thanks.

 

I think if the rear speed pickup it not communicating properly, the ABS light will come on. On my car is has been chaffed wires in the past and not the sensor. That sensor gives the speedo it's signal and is the rear pickup for the ABS. So I'd start there.
