Knock sensor codes keep coming back
This is strange. I have a 93 940 with the Regina system. About two years ago I removed the factory resonator and muffler and replaced them with a Flowmaster. This caused continuous knock sensor codes until I removed it from the engine block and tie wrapped it to the heater hose under the intake manifold, with the wires connected of course. This worked great for about a year, no codes anymore. Then the car sat for a year and now I am getting the codes again. I installed a new sensor in my heater hose position and have checked the wires to the connector (C50) in the left fender well and everything looks good but I can't drive it a mile without the light coming on. The acceleration is poor.
I don't know how to troubleshoot this anymore after cleaning all the connectors and replacing the sensor. Is there any way to send a false signal to the computer telling it the sensor is OK?

Yesterday I posted the problem with the knock sensor and today after cleaning the fuel injector connectors I have a new code I've never had before, 1-4-4. This is a bad signal from the Regina module to the Rex module, the Rex module being the electronic box under the coil. I have checked everything I can find and cleaned the connections (none of them seem corroded). I am wondering if there is a pattern failure associated with this code. Has anyone seen it before on your car and if so, what was the fix?
I will also start a new thread in case someone passes up the knock sensor code thread. Thanks for any help you can give me.
