It's really cool that it is #1600 of 1600 limited editions but at the end of the day it has 270,000 miles. It is not an 80,000 to 100,000 mile creampuff that come up for sale on rare occasion. With that said, if it was closer I would be tempted to offer him $4,000. Thank God it's not closer.

You would need to run the VIN to be sure as anything ca be faked.

however this looks like its the last of the "classic" run
And this one is a US market volvo

240 Classic (1992–93): European markets from the 1992 model year. For the North American market, only 1,600 were produced in April and May 1993, half wagons and half sedans. European Classics have fully equipped interior with wood dash trim and "Classic" badges on hatch/decklid. In addition to the European equipment, the 1,600 North American Classics have body-matched painted grilles and side mirrors, special 14" alloy wheels, production-number plaque in dash, and special paint colors — ruby red or metallic dark teal green.

i don't think the "Classic" was the last of the line, just a special edition sold in the last MY alongside regular 1993 240's.

Copied from Wikipedia...

The last 200 produced was a blue station wagon built to the Italian specification and named the "Polar Italia", currently displayed at the Volvo World Museum.

Exclamation

this one clearly is the 'last' classic edition imported to the US though... you have to admit that...so that would mean it's also the 'youngest'

too bad about the color :-/ my daughter's HS friend has a 240 Classic in that dark green... clear coat failure is massive and ugly.
