Looking for weatherstrip
I am looking for the weatherstrip that is on the top of the door panel that wipes the inside of the driver side window. I have searched the net but can't seem to find a source for it. It would be for a 89 740 GL but I suspect it fits most of the models.
Pretty sure it fits all 7xx and 9xx, but probably nothing else. this sort of part is dealer-only, won't find it at most parts places, unless they carry Volvo OE parts.
ok, drivers front door, inside window 'wiper' sill strip for a 740 wagon is "Sealing Strip" part number 3527594, should be able to order it at any dealer, or online at various online volvo dealers like Sealing strip made by Volvo. #3527594
also uses 7 clips 3527192 to hold it in place,
Clip made by Volvo. #3527192
(I've ordered a fair bit of stuff from volvopartswebstore.com, they are actually a volvo dealer in a Chicago suburb, and the parts are all about 25-30% discount, they've been pretty reliable and fast unless stuff is backordered and has to come from .SE).
sadly, more and more OE parts for these older cars are not actually available even if they are still in the catalogs, you don't find out til you try and order it. you can thank Ford for 'streamlining' their parts supply chain.

You definitely don't need the clips as the ones on the old panel are perfectly reusable. I have replaced lots of these: easy! Junked Volvos usually have these "squeegies" in tact, so junkyards are a good source.
