Default Loose wire in engine compartment of '92 940 GL

There is a loose/disconnected wire in the engine compartment of our 940 GL. The wire runs along the right side of the engine compartment and the end is exposed like it had been connected to something. There is also a 15 amp fuse attach to the positive side of the battery that is not connected to anything else. If I had to guess, I'd say the the exposed wire should be attached to the fuse, however I am not sure and do not want to connect the wire for fear of a short.

The only issue we have on that side of the car is the right front blinker does not work even though the bulb is good.

Attached is a picture of the wire and the fuse. Any idea what the fuse is for and whether the wire and fuse should be connected?

Thanks!

that doesn't look like a factory wire to me. I would NOT hook that up until I was sure what was on the other end.

Where does it go?

It disappears into the firewall. I will have to trace it from there. More to follow.

Most likely remnant of a stereo set up someone had at one point. Not Volvo OEM.

pop off the kick panel on whichever side, should be easy to see whether it goes into the console, or under a door sill to the trunk
