Default Metal Radiators & Sensor - Question..

Hi all,
Greetings from an old 245 enthusiast.. I had these in college and was really into them and had several of them. Since then it's been years and I really loved my old Volvos..

Anyway, I am installed a Mercedes 300D engine (the OM617 5 cylinder turbo diesel) into a Toyota pickup truck. What I've found (I love how the world works like this) is a Volvo radiator from RWD model seems to fit perfectly for the application...

So I have a couple questions. 1 -- are all 240 and 740 radiators turbo/non turbo interchangeable? It looks like it, correct?

2) Because it is a 4WD, should I try to find an all metal version and are they a lot better, or is plastic OK? What I like about the plastic is they are much thinner with the aluminum core that seems to do a pretty good job cooling versus the metal brass ones. But I like that the metal in general should last a lot longer as I remember the Volvo radiators occasionally becoming brittle...

3) Is there a place where I can source the rubber pads and mounting brackets for the Volvo radiators?

and finally, sourcing the temp switch...
1 -- what temp does this switch turn off and on? And second, is it OK to use the push in style or should I use a more expensive screw in. I was reading a recommendation to JD Weld it in and I should be OK?

thanks,
Andre

It looks like the radiator works for a wide variety of applications...

Now here is what's odd.. For example autozone does differentiate between different models. I found a "Parts for Imports" type place that carries a threaded fan switch. Here is the part number: 802 53005 615 Only $12 which is pretty awesome. But now I can't figure out if all of these radiators that use the push-in type fan switch have threads. I guess I should just go down to Autozone to find out. The Autozone part number is 433267 and it's only $102.67 with a lifetime warranty (which I like -- I also use this technique for alternators). It is the aluminum type center core with the plastic end caps. Also Autozones are all over the country which is very helpful.

RockAuto.com also appears to have the exact same supplier as Autozone with a 1 year warantee for anywhere from $85 to $102 for the part. They use the part number SPECTRA PREMIUM Part # CU83 that also interchanges with the autozone.. Here is what the Rock Auto line reads:
SPECTRA PREMIUM Part # CU83 {#433267, 83}

And here is the interchange list...

Now here are the three versions of the sensors... The push in, the threaded that screws into the radiator, and the screw in that screw in line with the lower sensor port...

RADIATOR FAN SWITCH
WAHLER - SCREWS INTO RADIATOR - THREAD TYPE
EXCEPT TURBOCHARGED86-88IMC802 54066 087FAN SWITCH19.0711.230.000

This is one I'm hoping to get to fit into the autozone radiator...

___________

Here is the kind that is push in:

RADIATOR FAN SWITCH
FAE - PUSH-IN TYPE - PUSHES INTO RUBBER GROMMET
EXCEPT TURBOCHARGED85-88IMC802 53005 615RAD FAN SWITCH20.1911.890.0

Autozone also only lists this type. I couldn't find a listing for any threaded switches in the autozone site...
