Default Missing pieces

I am working on a '88 245 and I can't get it back together.

The hose that goes the Throttle-body....the one about 3" around. It has a spot for 2 rubber hoses to hook up to it. On the top, the PCV hose hooks to it. On the bottom, there is a 15" long, or so hose. Where does it go? I can't find anything.

I didn't mess with this, but the negative battery cable goes to the block. There is a red wire bolt to the same spot, where should it go? Mine just flops around.

Also, I replaced the rubber hose that goes from the radiator to the over-flow tank. My old hose was just a cheap hose and it had zip-ties holding it in place...what the heck, is that correct?

battery negative cables normally go to the chassis, and there's a separate engine block to chassis cable for grounding the engine.

The second hose goes to the idle air controller.

I checked, there are 2 cables leaving the neg battery post. One goes to the block, and one goes to the frame or chassis. They are both, light green. The block one is much thicker than the other.

huh, wonder if someone redid that? but I haven't had a 240 to look at for years and years. I'm remembering a heavy black ground cable to the chassis near the battery, and another cable from there to the block.

but what you have will work fine.... the heavier wire to the block is for the starter current which is the single biggest load on the system, 100-200A or something while cranking.

I think that mine is factory. It looks like a factory battery clamp (it looks just the Pos terminal). It has shrink wrap on the wires, and 2 wires come out, and they are both the same blue color.
