Need help - No OD?
New to the volvo postings and I need the help of the experts. Yesterday, the OD dropped out (I think). I was driving normally at first then the tach went to 3700 rpm and thinking I bumped the OP switch, pushed it and no change. Is it possible the OD relay has gone out? What other areas should I be looking at?- I've experienced similar symptoms in the past with my 245, but never on the 740T. Currently have 267K on the engine, new head gasket w/machined head, new sway bars and end links, turbo plus kit, K/N filter. Always been a strong runner and hope to keep it for a bit longer. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Skip

Is it an auto or stick? Year is also a good thing to post too.
The relay is a good place to start. It could be the solenoid too. In the manual, the wiring can chaff until it doesn't work. Also low fluid in the manual OD can make it not work. I only really know things about the manual OD, so if it's an auto, someone else will be able to offer some help.
