Hello, i'm the happy new owner of an '88 volvo 240 dl sedan. i'm new to the forums and just wanted to say hello and if anyone had general advice on maintenance and stuff it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

 

Welcome to the forum! There are a lot of knowledgeable folks here on the forum that will be happy to help you out if you have a specific issue or task that you need to accomplish. I do suggest, though, searching this forum for a few hours to familiarize yourself with some of the common issues that already have been covered. I know I found out an amazing amount of info doing just that when I joined here last year after buying my first Volvo. I'll bet any maintanence or repair issue you run into will be covered somewhere in the archived posts. As far as scheduled maintainance, your owner's manual has a lot of info (hopefully you got the one your car came with). The Bently manual should be your next purchase.
