so i have never been into volvos. but im wanting to learn more about my car. is there a turbo model of the 240? anyone that can give me more info plz coment

 

The 240 was offered as a turbo model from 1981 through 1985. For 84 and 85, an intercooler was offered. Those engines were mechanically injected; while marvels of engineering in their day they are not for the faint hearted today. The system is darn near bullet proof but replacement parts today are scarce and expensive. The good news is, the motor and drive train in the 740/760 and 940/960 turbos is identical so swapping in a relatively fresh turbo motor into your 240 is very little more than a standard motor swap.
