Default New Window Rubber Help

I just replaced the outside window rubber strips, the piece that prevents water from entering the door and that "scrapes" the window as it is lowered and raised, and now when I put the windows down the rubber grabs the glass and rolls inward. Is there anything that I should lubricate the rubber with so it doesn't grab the glass. It is so bad that the windows are stopped from lowering.

I'd try using some type of silicone based lube, something that gives the edge of the scraper some sliding ability and won't dry right away. Use just enough, not too much to smear on the glass... Gradually, it should get better.

It helps if you install the pieces correctly. I didn't install them with the felt portion rubbing against the glass. Dumb mistake. I am just glad I only did one before I realized my mistake.
