Default No brake lights '92 240

Hey all,
In the past I have recieved great advice in this forum. My problem now is no brake lights. Turn signals work, all running lights now work. I just installed a whole new rear light assembly on the passenger side. No brake lights including the rear window brake light. Both rear light panels got cracked, I replaced the really messed up one and was able to use the red plastic pieces from the old panel to fix one cracked part on the other panel. All other lights work. Fuse for brake lights appear to be intact. The bulbs are new, any help would be so appreciated. Thanks JR

The first thing to do would be climb under the dash with a test light and check for power at the brake light switch. One side will have power all the time and the other will only have power when the pedal is down.Try that and let me know.

Hi. There are 2 brake light switches located near the brake pedal. One is easy to get at and replace, the other is much harder because its located under the dash quite high up off the floor. You can't even see it unless you're a contortionist! Chances are the bad one is the upper one. Good luck!

Hey, thanx for your replies. I tried to find that switch, didn't have the star tool to get the knee bolster thing out. There was no way I was getting to that switch. I gave up real fast and took it to a local auto electrical place. For $150 I got a new switch new wiring and a few new bulbs. Is there any problem money can't solve? For any one in NJ. Nicolls and Sons , Water St. in Toms River did the repair. I felt they were completely trustworthy. $50 for parts and $100 - 2 hours labor. I'm happy. Thanks again for your help. - JR
