Default no fire

hey guys i just bought a 94 940 with the 2.3 and when i got it the guy said the fuel pump was bad i put a battery in it and tried to crank it it took a lil bit but it started but run rough then i let it run for a few mins with me giving it gas then it just shut off i tried to crank it and it wont start i pulled the fuel line off its getting good fuel up to the rail i kept messing with it and got it started the next day but did the same thing now it wont start at all and i check the plugs and no fire but i have juice to the coil can the coil still be bad or could it be something diffrent it has a new cap rotor button wires and plugs any help is appriciated thanks

Pull codes from teh car. And suspect crank angle sensor.

ok i done the jumper wire under the hood with the red led light and it came up 1-1-1 and from this site its says no faults could the ignition control module be bad?

No spark means mainly 3 things: bad coil, bad Power Stage, or bad RPM sensor. Oh, another thing could be wiring issues, such as broken wire or short circuit. Go to www.stepbystepvolvo.com for free guide to 740 no-starts. May help you some on 940.
