Default obd 1 code reader

I have a 89 740gl. when checking the codes, i put the diode in the number 6 slot and activated the reader. the code i got back was 1-1-1, which is an all clear code. when i switched the code to the number 2 slot, I got the code 1-2-1. if reading the codes from the bc website that means its" MAF sensor signal absent or faulty LH 2.4". Does it mean the same when the diode is in the #2 slot on the reader, or is there a different set of codes for that?

Hi Beardog,

From what I understand, slot #2 gives you fuel related codes and slot #6 gives you ignition related codes and the numbers thrown do not overlap, meaning there are no same numbers for either slots.

Hope this helps.
