I have an oil leak from the fill hole on top of the valve cover. Even with a new gasket. Any thoughts on this? Crankcase breather needs cleaning? If so where is it?

 

If its coming from the fill hole on the valve cover, chances of it being the gasket are slim. If you do put a new gasket on, make sure the valve cover is on the head to the correct torque. Looking at a service manual will tell you the correct torque. I have the Bentley service manual for 83-93 240's and the correct torque to tighten the bolts connecting the cover to the cylinder head is 12.5 Nm. If you are sure its not the gasket, it might be that you need a new filler cap? never had this be a problem but you can never be too sure.
