Default Oil Slump Replacement or fix the current one?

When I bought my 1990 Volvo DL 240 a year and half ago, someone ran over something crankling/dent in the bottom portion of the oil slump(where the plug is). I found someone who has one real cheap. But I also found out that you have to lift the engine to replace it. I talk to this gentleman who is retired from being a mechanic and he said that he would switch it out for $125.00 which is a really good deal because it 4 hours of labor. But then I called my Volvo repair shop and they said they have a tool and they can try and pull out that dent/crankle in the slump. Which would be best for me to do?

It's just dented inwards(no cracks or fractures)....the very bottom of it where the plug is. With the dent inwards it looks like it might take away a half to a cup of oil of storage. Although I would like to have a replacement in there...lifting the engine makes me worried that it could make other things go wrong that won't show up till later after some time. So that is really why I trying to figure out if it would just be better to try and pull out that indenture at the bottom of the oil slump. What do you think?
