Hey, I have a 1991 volvo 740 that I'm interested in fixing up, does anyone know where I can find the silver paint to match it so I can do a bit of rust repair?

 

find the local auto paint supplier, they can custom mix paint to match what your car looks like now. if you were to use the ORIGINAL exact volvo paint you'd likely find it wouldn't match well as paint changes with age.

 

But if you want the original look for the vin number plate under the good and look for a number like 189-2 the first number is the color

 

yeah, if you're doing a FULL paintjob, what xactorocker said. I was assuming this was just patchwork painting of rust repairs and such.

 

just remember you can buy cans of the factory colors too but they may look slightly diffrent on a old car

 

Okay thanks for the info guys, I didn't take into consideration the paint fade from age

 

if you are doing the wheel wells or rocker panels on the sides, the paint doesnt fade as much. Silver is not known to fade too much.
