Default Parts for Y pipe replacement?

So I need to replace the Y pipe on my '93 NA 240 Sedan, and I'm just trying to get an idea of the parts I need. Looking at diagrams of the exhaust, it seems I need to buy the parts for a bracket assembly that mounts to the top of the Y pipe. But when I was taking a look at the pipe under the car, there was no evidence of this assembly even being there in the first place, so I just need to make sure I actually need it before I buy it.

I also wanted to ask about this flange gasket. When I was disconnecting the Y pipe from the cat I did not see this, but according to the diagram (section not posted here to save space) it says that a part called a sealing ring is needed between the flanges for the Y pipe and cat. I looked it up and the closest I could find was what I just linked. Just need to make sure that's what I need.

Sorry about seeming so novice, I've been working on exclusively Japanese cars for a long time but I am about 2 weeks into my first 240 ownership, so I'm still learning.

Thanks!

The bracket is missing on many cars, it gets left off when parts get broken, cracked or rusted out. The flange ring if equipped is usually reused. If the pipe and converter have fixed welded on flanges, a normal triangular shaped gasket is used. If the flanges spin - the sealing ring is used. If you have one fixed flange and one spinning - the parts are mismatched and you will have to do your best to get it to seal.
